Where can I find my products’ repairability and durability scores?
Repairability and durability ratings are established by the manufacturer for each relevant model. The module does not supply ratings or calculate them automatically. Obtain both the score for your product and the document detailing its calculation.
Where should I look for this information?
- Check the product’s packaging and documentation: some manufacturers include the rating there.
- Check the manufacturer’s website and the page for the exact product reference.
- If the score or calculation details are missing, request them from the manufacturer or importer, specifying the model and the index you need.
For repairability, the indicereparabilite.fr directory also lists some ratings. Always check the product reference, the document’s source and the applicable index; the directory does not replace the information you need for the model you sell.
Which index should I use?
Repairability and durability are different indices. Do not copy a repairability rating into the durability feature. Use the rating supplied for the index applicable to your product category. Which information should customers be able to access?
For products subject to these requirements, sellers must display the index and provide access to the parameters used to calculate it. For online sales, make calculation details accessible from the same page, near the price, for example by clicking the score label. A mention in your terms and conditions does not replace access from the product page.
Enter the rating in the corresponding feature by following the FAQ on configuring the module, then associate the manufacturer’s document using the calculation document procedure. Check in your shop that the downloaded document matches the product and the displayed index.
