How do I configure Stripe and verify the store domain?
The module uses your Stripe account to process Apple Pay payments. In the “Stripe” tab, enter the publishable key and secret key from the same Stripe account and environment.
Match the keys to the payment mode
- For testing, disable “Live mode” and use a
pk_test_…publishable key and ansk_test_…secret key. - For real payments, enable “Live mode” and replace both keys with the live keys:
pk_live_…andsk_live_….
The fields may be labelled “Live Publishable Key” and “Live Secret Key” even when you are testing: enter the test key pair in these fields when using test mode. Save and check the module’s messages.
Changing the “Live mode” switch does not replace the keys. Disabling this switch while keeping live keys is not enough to make a test safe. Fix any mismatch between the two keys and the payment mode before starting a payment.
Verify the store domain
The store must use HTTPS on all pages. With the keys entered, the module checks the Stripe account and attempts to register the store domain automatically. Check the messages in the configuration to see the result.
If automatic registration fails, ask your technical contact to check that the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file is publicly accessible in the /.well-known/ directory at the domain root. The full path is /.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association, even if the store is installed in a subfolder. Then follow Stripe’s official instructions to complete domain registration.
Before accepting real payments, also check that your Stripe account is allowed to receive them. If the button is still missing after setup, see the troubleshooting FAQ. See Stripe’s website for pricing and terms.
Once Stripe is configured, choose the button style and display locations.
