How to display my search engine only on certain pages?
Without visibility restrictions, an active search engine can appear on pages where the theme displays its selected location. To choose particular pages, click Visibility in the engine menu.
Enable the relevant restrictions, make your selections, then click Save. Leaving every selection empty does not restrict display.
Choose the pages
- Categories: select the category pages on which to display the engine.
- Products, by selecting products: search for a product in the right panel, then use the + sign beside the result to add it to the selection on the left. Check that the required products appear in this selection.
- Products, by selecting parent categories: select the categories that must be the default categories of the relevant products. An association with a secondary category alone is not enough.
- Manufacturers (brands), suppliers, CMS pages and special pages: enable the corresponding option and search for the required pages in the selector and add them to the selection.
The Categories restriction concerns pages that list products. The Products, by selecting parent categories restriction concerns individual product pages: check each product’s default category in its back-office form.

In this example, “Atlas bag” and “Boreal bag” are selected, but only “Atlas collection” is checked in the parent categories. The engine therefore appears on “Atlas bag”, whose default category is Atlas, and stays hidden on “Boreal bag”.
Combine restrictions
You can select several page types, for example particular category pages and manufacturer pages.
For product pages, if you fill in both the product list and the parent category list, the product must meet both restrictions: it must be selected and its default category must be among the selected categories.
For example, if you select a product whose default category is “Accessories”, then select only “Clothes” in the parent categories, that product does not meet both restrictions.
These settings do not create a location in your theme. The associated engine is also used on its own result pages and SEO pages. Check the relevant pages after saving.
If the engine disappears after refreshing the results, also see the theme column settings.
