How do I choose accessories and products often purchased together?
The module can combine three recommendation sources: compulsory products you select, associated accessories, and products often purchased together.
Recommend catalogue accessories
Under Settings > Accessories, enable Display products’ accessories? and set the Maximum number of accessories to be displayed. Accessories must first be associated with products in your PrestaShop catalogue. On the cart page, the module looks for accessories of products in the cart.
On a product page, also enable Force display of accessories in product page? if you want the viewed product’s accessories to appear in the module’s recommendations. This option is disabled at installation, helping avoid duplication when the theme already displays an accessories block.
Use previous purchases
Under Products often purchased together, enable the source, choose its maximum and set Use valid orders less than X days old to a value between 1 and 200 days. The installation default is 160 days. The module uses valid orders from the current shop containing at least one product from the cart and, on a product page, also takes the viewed product into account. It looks for other products in those orders and ranks them by the number of distinct orders, highest first. Without matching orders in the selected period, this source adds no recommendations.
For example, if valid orders contain a camera and a memory card, the memory card can be recommended when the camera is in the cart, provided it is eligible for display.
Understand recommendation order and counts
The selection combines compulsory products first, then accessories, then purchase-based recommendations, removing duplicates. Source maxima limit the candidates retrieved; access permissions, catalogue eligibility and stock rules can then reduce the number actually displayed. These limits are separate from the number of products visible at once in the carousel.
Save your settings. If recommendations are missing from the cart page, see the troubleshooting checks.
