If I create a new shop, will my menu appear there?
The menu in a new shop depends on the data imported from the source shop when it is created. A shop group name, such as “Default”, does not by itself determine which tabs will be associated with the new shop.
Reuse tabs from an existing shop
When adding a shop in Advanced Parameters > Multistore:
- Enable data import and choose the shop whose tabs you want to reuse as the source.
- In the data to import, keep both the Advanced Top Menu module and products selected. Tabs are associated when product import is selected and the import mechanism calls the module.
- After creation, open the module configuration in the new shop’s context and check the available tabs.
The module adds an association between the new shop and the source shop’s tabs: it does not create independent copies of those tabs. Editing shared objects can therefore affect the other shops; read the FAQ about shared menus.
If the menu does not appear
Check the source shop and the data selected during creation. Previously creating a menu in All shops does not guarantee automatic association with every shop added later.
Also check that the module is enabled, along with the display settings, catalogue destinations and theme in the new shop. Follow the menu display checks.
To create a new menu specific to this shop, select its context before creating new tabs; see the FAQ about creation contexts.
