What text should I display in my banner to be in compliance?
Your banner message must clearly explain the purposes for which cookies are used on your shop. Adapt it to the actual uses of your modules, such as statistics, advertising or personalization. The CMS page linked from the banner must also identify the partners likely to process personal data.
The default text can be used as a starting point, but should be adapted to your shop. Its presence alone does not guarantee that your configuration is compliant.
How do I edit the banner text?
- Open the Advanced Cookie Banner configuration, then the Settings tab.
- Enter the message in the banner content field.
- Use the field's language selector to check and adapt this text in each active language of your shop.
How do I link to my cookie policy?
- Prepare a CMS page on your shop explaining your use of cookies and the partners involved.
- In the module settings, select this page in the CMS page field.
- To customize the link text, fill in the Label of the link to the CMS page field in each language. If you leave this label empty, the module uses its default label.
- Save the settings, then check the text and that the linked page opens correctly on your shop in each available language.
You can use simulation mode while configuring the banner: see How does the simulation mode work? If the banner does not appear in a language, check in particular that its text is filled in for that language; see also Why is the banner not displayed?
