Where and how can I insert a shortcode?

The module inserts dynamic content into these fields: a product’s summary and description, a category’s description, a brand’s short description and description, a supplier’s description and a CMS page’s content. A shortcode is text inside square brackets that the module replaces with the corresponding content when the page is displayed in your shop.

These are the fields supported by the module. A formatting toolbar in another field, including one provided by a third-party module, does not by itself make that field compatible.

After installation, no general configuration is required to use the generator. The module’s “Configure” button opens an introduction and examples. To add content, open the relevant text field in your back office.

  1. Place the cursor where you want to insert the content.
  2. Click “Insert a Shortcode” in the formatting toolbar.
  3. Choose “Video”, “Social post” or “Shop resource”, then complete the form.
  4. Click “Submit”. The shortcode appears in the editor’s text.
  5. Save the product or page, then open it in your shop to check the result.

For a shop resource, the module retrieves the data of the selected resource: you do not need to replace the shortcode whenever that resource’s name or URL changes.

If the window does not load, follow the loading issue troubleshooting procedure. If the button or window does not respond, follow the JavaScript error detection procedure. To update the module, follow the module update procedure.
