Is it possible to create packs with products for which the VAT rate is different?
Yes, a pack can contain products with different VAT rates. When the order is validated, the module replaces the pack line with its component lines, as explained in the pack order details.
The order lines and invoice use the taxes of the relevant products. Check the components’ tax rules and the country and address used for the calculation: one global rate is not selected for every component in the pack.
Example invoice with two rates
In this fictional example, the pack contains a camera at €100 excluding tax, a tripod at €50 excluding tax and two photography guides at €20 excluding tax each. The camera and tripod use 20% VAT, and the guides use 5.5%. The invoice shows three component lines, with a quantity of two for the guides.
The tax breakdown separates a €150 base at 20% (€30 VAT) and a €40 base at 5.5% (€2.20 VAT). With free shipping in this example, the total is €190 excluding tax, €32.20 VAT and €222.20 including tax.
